Our Story
GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS
Judi Troutman devoted her life to helping people create their personal style, starting as a hair stylist in one of fashion’s defining decades – the 1970s. Throughout her career, she was passionate about combining industry best practices with cutting edge techniques. In 2013, Judi opened her own salon, Troutman Beauty Affaire, with the goal of becoming the best hair salon in Raleigh.
Her granddaughter Taylor took over the salon four years later at the age of 24, and continues her legacy to this day. Taylor honors her grandmother’s impact on her life and work with the rebranded Legacy Salon, where she serves her clients with old school customer service enhanced by a modern expression of uninhibited individualism. Taylor and her team have a cooperative approach, working together to provide the best haircuts and the best hair color services in Raleigh.
Legacy Salon is the only American Board Certified Haircolorist salon in Raleigh and only 1 of 3 salons to carry this expert knowledge and service excellence in the state of North Carolina.
